Lyle B. Masnikoff & Associates, P.A.: Honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October 29, 2024 – Lyle B. Masnikoff
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as October winds down we remember all of those that this horrible disease has affected. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S. for woman after skin cancer, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
The goal of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to increase awareness of the disease and stress the importance of mammograms as the best tool to screen for breast cancer. The CDC states that early detection can increase the five-year life expectancy for those affected by 99%. We often see the unmistakable pink ribbon during October which symbolizes breast cancer awareness. Pink Ribbon events, such as breast cancer walks help to educate women about the importance of mammograms and encourage them to take charge of their breast health by getting regular screenings.
Undoubtedly, your family, friends, or someone you know have been affected by breast cancer, as it touches so many lives. The team at Lyle Masnikoff & Associates is no different. Throughout the month of October, we take the time to educate our staff and clients and provide support, in any way we can, to those that are affected by breast cancer. This month, and every month, there are many ways you can join the fight to save lives and there are vast resources for those affected and those that want to help.
Throughout Mr. Masnikoff’s twenty-five-year career he has represented countless workers who have been affected by this horrible disease. While it may not be a Workers’ Compensation matter, we are there for our clients, and co-workers in any capacity we can be, which at times is to provide a listening ear, and words of encouragement. Please do not hesitate to call. The consultation is always free. We practice throughout Florida, and you can reach any one of our offices at (561) 598-7122(561) 598-7122.
