Requesting a Replacement Social Security Card Online

Social Security offices still remain closed to the public because of COVID except for dire situations.  If you need a replacement social security card, you may be able to request one online using your My Social Security Account.  To be able to request a replacement card in this way, you must have an account, be a US Citizen age 18 or older with a US mailing address, not requesting a name change or any other change on the replacement, and have a driver’s license or state-issued identification card.

With the uncertainty of when the Social Security Administration will open to the public, this can save a lot of time and stress if you need a replacement card immediately.  If you do not have an account with Social Security, you can go to www.ssa.gov/myaccount and create an account.

If you have any Social Security questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 561-598-7120.
