People call every day and ask, “Can they change their doctor?” And that also depends on: have you switched your doctor in the past? In your case, every person that has a workers’ comp claim can switch their doctor at least once per case, but they can switch that doctor other times for other reasons. So, if you dislike the doctor or don’t agree with the doctor, clearly you can switch your doctor once per case; if you move away and you’re now too far away from the doctor, we can now get you a doctor that’s closer because you moved away. Sometimes, doctors retire, or they no longer take workers’ comp patients, and they request that the person find another doctor. So, many times, we have our clients—will find them a new doctor in those circumstances. So, there are many reasons why people switch their doctors; and if you’re not sure—what if you want to switch your doctors, or should you switch your doctors—give us a call. We’ll be happy to speak to you about that, and we can decide what needs to be done to get you the best treatment possible.
