WEST PALM BEACH, Florida—Lyle Masnikoff & Associates, P.A., a workers’ compensation law firm serving clients throughout the state, recently welcomed seniors from American Heritage High School working toward a Pre-Law Degree, to observe mediations, depositions, and conferences.
Attorneys Lyle Masnikoff, Charles Wade, and Shakayle Grant hosted three groups of high school students on three different days in March at the law firm’s West Palm Beach office, where they learned about what’s involved in a day in the life of a workers’ compensation attorney. As part of their requirement for obtaining a Pre-Law Degree, these students must complete internships with multiple law firms.
“It was our pleasure to host these wonderful students,” says Masnikoff. “Deciding which area of law to pursue is a critical decision. Giving these pre-law students an opportunity to learn more about workers’ compensation, observe our attorneys in action, and ask questions will hopefully guide them in making the best choices for them as they continue their legal education. I’m grateful to my team and to American Heritage High School for inviting us to participate in this program.”
